As the Chief Sustainability Officer at City Developments Limited, she has pioneered key advancements in Singapore’s sustainability landscape—publishing the nation’s first sustainability report in 2008 and issuing its first corporate green bond in 2017. Her visionary work has earned her global accolades, including recognition as a TIME100 Climate Leader in Business 2023 and the Impact Leader of the Year 2024 by The Business Times.

Beyond her executive achievements, Esther actively shapes international sustainability practices through her participation on influential advisory boards and committees, such as the World Economic Forum Nature-Positive Cities Global Commission and the UN PRI Real Estate Advisory Committee. She is equally committed to empowering future generations, having founded the Women4Green and Youth4Climate networks to foster climate action and sustainable development.
