March 2025: The Youth Innovation Hub hosted an introductory mentor-mentee meetup as part of the CDG-EBI Sustainability Education Grant programme for the 2024 cohort. This casual gathering offered a fantastic opportunity for our grantees to connect with experienced mentors, learn about the structure of the programme, and gain insights into navigating the sustainability landscape. Participants enjoyed an evening filled with inspiring conversations, networking, and the beginning of valuable professional relationships.

The Youth Innovation Hub served as the home base for the start of an exciting collaboration with the Inter-University Environmental Coalition (IUEC) for our inaugural The Sustainability Youth Festival (TSYF) programme. Launching in 2025, TSYF hopes to make sustainability education engaging and accessible through a blend of exploratory learning and interactive activities. The YIH was a vibrant space for dynamic dialogue and innovative thinking, where students from IUEC gathered to exchange their visions and ideas for the TSYF programmes. This collaborative effort is poised to empower the next generation with the tools and inspiration to lead the way toward a more sustainable future.

In January 2025, the Youth Innovation Hub hosted the year’s first EB Impact Ambassador Gathering, creating a warm and interactive environment for our community. Ambassadors spent the evening catching up and reconnecting with one another, providing valuable feedback on the ambassador programme, discussing upcoming initiatives for 2025, and how EB Impact can move forward in engaging our ambassadors more closely. The gathering highlighted the power of a like-minded community, where the enthusiasm for sustainable development and meaningful skill-building continues to inspire impactful change.

With the launch of Sustainability Exchange (SusEx) Season 4, At the Youth Innovation Hub, we ignited a wave of innovation with the SusEx Season 4 event, which marked the official kickoff of our new space powered by CDL. This energising launch set the stage for a series of subsequent workshops held at the Hub, where participants engaged in dynamic discussions, hands-on activities, and collaborative workshop sessions designed to explore fresh sustainability solutions. The event not only celebrated the inauguration of the Hub but also fostered a vibrant community of young changemakers ready to drive impactful environmental initiatives.
